Looking forward to a week of Forestella originals!!Wow! ……UTOPIA next. ❤I love this video which is part of a trilogy , and in these first 3 chapters here there are many hidden messages and it prepares you for the next chapters 4 - 6 in Utopia which you are going to have to watch at least 3 to 4 times to fully grasp all that they’re singing about😅 Forestella actually told us that it would be necessary to watch it several times so we can decipher it on our own …though in the behind-the-scenes video on their channel they do give some clues😅. Or people can just view the m.vs as beautiful pieces of art. I know some say the live versions are better, but I feel that both the cinematic videos and the legendary Forestella live performances are enjoyable in their own right…each has their function. The storyline is visually aided in the videos and in the live performances their incredible vocals shine. The symbolism and clues in the videos are not fully represented in the live performances, so that’s why I believe we need both. The 3rd instalment of the trilogy is not released yet. Also as an international fan who is yet to see them perform live in person, any videos they work so hard to produce will be forever fully appreciated by me. [Thank you, Forestella for being the artists you are.… and for daring to be different.] They are definitely not ordinary music videos and should be appreciated for their uniqueness and are not just meant for casual viewing or listening. There is important messaging embedded in them.

This song was first sung in Phantom Singer All Stars, which was a kind of competition among all the Phantom Singer finalists groups from season 1~3. JTBC, one of Korean cable broadcast channels made an audition show titled Phantom Singer (I'll say PS) to make a quartet like il Divo from Korea. Forestella is PS 2nd season's winner. During serious covid period almost every concert was canceled so JTBC could invite all the groups to the show Phantom Singer All Stars (I'll say PSAS) and filmed it with online audience. There were only a few celeb guests and the competitors on the site. Forestella made this Shape of you in various languages because they wanted the audience to feel of world trip vibe, hard to go due to covid situation at that time. JTBC didn't release their Shape of you video for abroad (however you can watch the JTBC version in a fan channel) first KBS and then MBC made globally available versions afterwards. (KBS, MBC both are Korean public broadcast stations.) This video is from MBC Music Core which invited many Kpop groups and artists of various genres. Even the audience came to see their artists other than Forestella, Forestella got cheered for their fabulous performance! (So it could be lightsticks of other fandoms lol also there were SoopByeols' lightsticks as well.) It seems like that Forestella got the inspiration from Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (Latin Remix) Ft Zion & Lennox, Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (Cover by Ndlovu Youth Choir and Grammy-winning flutist Wouter Kellerman), as their references of Spanish & Zulu.😊 On a fan channel named Johnburgh Kim you can see how Forestella first practiced this song in Mamacita Syndrome video, and search by Forestella Shape of you 1.5 then you can see their double speed (1.5x speed precisely) challenge on this song!
